Biography
Althea Mullarkey, Policy and Special Projects Associate/Analyst

Working with Director of Public Policy Andy Bicking, Althea Mullarkey provides support for Scenic Hudson's advocacy with state and federal officials and helps coordinate efforts with partner organizations throughout the Hudson Valley and New York. Her analytical, research and communications skills played a critical role in Scenic Hudson's successful campaign to achieve passage of a 2009 state budget that preserved the Environmental Protection Fund and Hudson River Valley Greenway. Ms. Mullarkey also serves as Scenic Hudson's representative on the state Community Advisory Group overseeing PCB cleanup of the Hudson River.
Previously, Ms. Mullarkey was administrative assistant to the supervisor of Montgomery, one of Orange County's fastest-growing towns, and held several positions at the State University of New York at New Paltz. She studied at Monterey Peninsula College in California and Pace University in Westchester County. A mother of five, Ms. Mullarkey resides in Walden, NY.
